Top-level SLE models can be equipped with a new JBL audio system, so long as you order leather upholstery. Option package fiddling makes it easier to equip a Solara the way you like. The anti-theft and engine immobilizer system is restricted to SLEs, while SEs now come standard with a six-speaker cassette stereo. Twilight Blue Pearl is replaced by Indigo Ink as an exterior color.

  Not a bad deal for the money - 2001 Toyota Camry Solara

  I bought this car with 70,000 miles. It runs good, but did have some problems here and there. I believe the brakes could be better on the car. I have gotten the brakes done by the dealership, and still dont feel a major difference. Other than that the car is not bad overall. One more thing, I believe the headlights could be better on the car.

  vibration and squeeking within the body - 2001 Toyota Camry Solara

  there has been consistent vibration and squeeking which has become much worse during the year in the body of the auto ... nothing to do with usual noises of a convertible roof... at pr esent having no cooperation with Toyota which is surprising as we have had their vehicles previously with no problem.. naturally we are very disappointed with this vehicle.

  Since owning my 99 Solara I have had numerous mechanical problems. I had to replace the engine in October 01and starter motor in March 02. This car sure hasnt met my expectations of Toyota quality.
